I wish I'd had the same experience as everyone else - a Bose remote that magically works like new again. But I didn't. My remote only seems to work within 3-4 feet of the stereo. (We use it for home theater with our TV. Who the heck wants to get off the couch to adjust the sound, right?) Bought this repair kit and followed the tutorial video on 't'. No improvement. Just in case, I changed the batteries again. Nada. Luckily it wasn't expensive so I think the game was worth the money spent. My remote didn't have a lot of dirt, oil, residue, etc., although when cleaning I felt like I was on to something. And I didn't break any of the plastic ties, so the Hippocratic Oath (do no harm) was kept. I ended up with a ball in my face for telling everyone in the house that the remote would be back to normal by Saturday, but Surprise wasn't. OK. I'm not recommending people not to buy this. If all previous reviews are legit, it probably works in other cases. But I just can't attest to it. I sincerely hope people get their remotes working properly again! But I just can't attest to it.
