Review on Silver SKS-Germany P35 Chromoplastic Longboard Bike Fenderset by Shigg Bigbee

The main reason I did not return these fenders is that they are (working and installed and not broken) excellent water protection. Unfortunately, the whole experience of owning these wings was terrible. First, the installation was an exercise in extreme frustration. First I started putting the fenders on one day, then had to stop an hour and a half later and take what I had done off so I could ride the next day. It took me an extra hour the next day to install it. The instructions are terrible, and as another reviewer pointed out, there's a ridiculous amount of detail to the setup, in addition to having to cut through the metal support rods with a hacksaw to get them to the perfect length for use in the setup. This wouldn't be such a big deal if the instructions were reasonable and somewhat helpful, and told you the best way to measure your cuts so you don't have to cut multiple times (like I did). After the ride, the bracket that attaches the rear fender to the rear brake bracket broke a couple of times, so the fender immediately sagged and started rubbing the tire, requiring me to partially disassemble the rear fender and slide the support bars up as much as possible so that it no longer rubs. Luckily this seems to have held up 'well', but if you hit a reasonable bump in the road the fender clip next to the bottom bracket will now disengage (so you'll have to stop and reattach it). Aside from the bouncing noise the fenders were making, I thought I was fine, but last week I was carrying the bike up the stairs and accidentally caught the front fender on the step (because it's ridiculously low to the ground at the wheel lies - great for covering, pretty bad for clearance) and now the front fender is hanging about 1/3 the original stock where the fender is held by the rear support rods. I was expecting it to possibly bend and snap back into place, but it was almost completely torn off. The only reason I haven't replaced them is because they're the first fully installed fenders I've bought and I'm afraid that goes without saying. That?
