I have this rug next to my bed so I don't get cold on a cold wooden floor. I wanted a neutral color and non-slip because my dog jumps on the bed but wouldn't jump if there wasn't a mat for him. I wish it was a little wider, but the 24-inch width is still pretty good. The pattern on the rug has a nice vintage look and just enough pile so I won't freeze if I even step on it. I have never had these mats slip even though we have 2 large dogs that walk on them daily. They are thin but suck well. I've also never had a vacuum that sucks them up! If you are looking for inexpensive, washable rugs that look a lot more expensive than they actually are. My favorite Maples Distressed Lexington rug has the warmth of neutral colors and understated elegance because it is neither flashy nor flashy. My Great Pyrenees monster dog also loves to lie on it at night.
