UPDATE These scissors were great until they were. They will dull over time, which is to be expected with any shear blade etc. The problem is that they cannot be sharpened. If you look at the grind of a non-thinning side blade you can see the extreme angle at which they were sharpened, making them impossible to sharpen. I have a lot of experience sharpening knives, scissors etc with several high quality whetstones. I have tried many times in vain, in many ways, but to no avail. You get what you pay for, like everything else in life. I started cutting my hair about 3 months ago and have never looked back. These sisters are doing their best. Not only are they very well made, sharp, attractive and precise, but the design allows a hobbyist like me to perfectly cut my own hair. Conventional scissors leave clean lines that allow me to blend everything with minimal effort. I have very thick hair and have had issues with cheaper shears not cutting effectively. They really do cut through butter like a hot knife. Truly outstanding in every way. Excellent work.
