I sew industrial fabrics for a living and have a commercial version of this elegant knife. I ordered this specifically for the weight loss it offers. This one is 1/3 lighter than my commercial version, cuts just as well and rolls smoothly. I use it mostly on 5 coats of 18.5 ounce vinyl coated polyester a few times a week and run it about 35 feet a day. The handle is more ergonomically shaped and beveled than my other one. We pulled a wall to wall rug from our house and used it to cut the rug into manageable pieces. Cuts like butter. Make sure the oil seal is saturated and the blade is sharp and will last for many years. I have no complaints, but I would like a case that not only fits the tool, but also a bottle of oil and a spare blade. When you cut thick, heavy, multi-layered fabrics or carpets, it saves you time, back and arms. Trust me, it's worth it! Thanks very much!
