Working perfectly but not worth the price compared to cheaper cables

Two of my monitors ran at 1440p, 144Hz with no problems. I was able to run Displayport 1.4 with this 1.2 DSP cable as long as I didn't exceed the 1.2 specification. So 1440p 165hz would cause crashes but 144 wouldn't and I didn't have to change the DSP input settings for 1.4 monitors to get this cable to work, it just worked. However, it has several problems. 1. A DisplayPort 1.2 cable came with my monitor when I bought it, so for the aftermarket I would look for the cheapest cable that gets the job done, or a high-end cable with additional features. 2. There is no locking mechanism, that can be a plus or a minus, for me it's a minus.3. no size choice. My monitor is right next to my PC so I would prefer a 3ft or 3.3ft 4 cable. Price. Monoprice sells the barebones cable for $5 and it has a locking mechanism. I can't vouch for their build quality but as I love thick braided cables this is a disappointment. this. built-in lock, packaging or storage box.

Cons
  • boring packaging

It's a Displayport cable and it works. Nothing much more to say than that.

The colors are much more rich with this cable than a hdmi. Using 27in Asus curved.
