I bought this shape sorter for my grandson who was almost 11 months old at the time. Daughter was very happy, grandson too. At that age he couldn't put the pieces together properly, but he started playing with it and trying to put the pieces together right away. The pieces are big enough for a child to swallow and choke on so I would give 5 stars. However, today I spoke to my daughter and saw my 12 month old grandson playing with another round wooden shape. sorter and asked her what happened to the other one and she said the corners were too sharp and my grandson would put dents in her walls by carrying it and bumping into walls or cabinets. He also drew a black blue on his forehead with a wooden corner. So I'm sure it will show up again, but the GEMEN Shape Sorter is cached for now!
