This product works exactly as advertised. I'm using it to connect an HDMI camera for use as a webcam, but it could probably be used for many other purposes as well. The picture quality at 1080p is good. My computer automatically recognizes it as a camera, so all I have to do is select the correct input in the recording or conferencing software. No additional software or drivers required. When I bought the product, I was confused by the picture because it showed a USB AB cable with the "A" end connected to an HDMI capture card. I didn't understand how to connect it to my computer. They seem to have changed the photo and it matches the product I received. To be clear, the product comes with a "USB A 3.0" type connector (the normal USB shaped rectangle on the back of the computer) and a USB AA cable that is about 3 feet long. Therefore, no additional adapters or connectors are required. required to connect to a PC with a USB 3.0 port, but you'll need an adapter if you want to use USB-C.
