First of all I want to say that I repair quite a lot of cars. for yourself and for others. I've only been using Wagner brake pads for 10 years. and I've never had to "modify" a set of pads to fit. til today. The brake caliper brackets were cleaned as usual and new pad holders were installed. When trying to install pads. just won't fit. I had to spend 15-20 minutes to get from the car to the mill. "Adjusting" the pad tabs to fit. I almost guessed the pad holder. the metal part of a brake pad to which the pad material is bonded. is a "stamped" steel part. I thought it was just bad stamping. I am extremely disappointed. You don't have to "modify" the pads to match. I won't go so far as to say that I will never use Wagner again. but I'll definitely look for alternatives. Very frustrating.
