I found that thanks to the velcro, it's actually quite easy to put it on a wobbly, protesting kitty - no need to adjust the buttons while she's desperately trying to escape. The Velcro closure also makes it easy to adjust the fit. Removal is very easy, just tear it apart in less than a second without holding it. The soft edge of the fabric is comfortable for him, but the fabric tends to collect dust, water, dirt, etc. and needs cleaning. I originally got this to stop my kitten from licking her nicks after spaying and it worked great. The cone is so light and comfortable that I've used it more times than I originally intended. Sometimes my kitty gets too aggressive/playful towards my vulnerable older cat - he likes to grab and bite her neck - so I put a cone on him which allows him to run and play but he can't bite her and as a result much get along better.
