After a bad experience with an inflatable collar, we needed this cone! It fits my 8lb chihuahua perfectly and is very light and comfortable. He couldn't curl up like that with an inflatable cone. This eventually stops him from licking the leg and gives him a chance to heal. I highly recommend this cone.

Compared to the collar provided by the vet, this collar was more comfortable for him to eat and sleep on. Just so people know I went with the larger size option, not the small one which is automatically selected. My cat is only 13lbs, has a very small neck and the cone fits him perfectly so I find it hard to believe this would work for large dogs or even some cats.

I got the medium for my 7lb Shih Tzu and it seems to fit. I had to pull it a little tighter than the velcro was supposed to, but it should stay in place. It doesn't seem to bother her, she hasn't tried to remove it yet. She has a spider bite under her left ear to prevent scratching it. Seems really durable. Willow Jane had a hot spot that never healed. It itches and hurts and she scratches it with her hind foot. I took her to the vet who placed her in a custom made clear cone which they guaranteed would stay in place. She removed and hid it in less than 12 hours. Seriously, it's been a month since we turned the house upside down and we can't find it. Meanwhile the wound got worse and started to smell.
