These bags were ordered because I was looking for large bin liners that could hold many items while we were cleaning the house and garage. These bags are just the right size and hold up really well. Very strong. There was also a strong smell of smoke when the package was opened. When folded, the bag does not smell, but when you open it, throwing away garbage is terrible. The smell is like opening a bag over a fire and catching all the smoke. I don't know if they use a chemical to prevent the bag from sticking or not, but it needs to be seasoned differently. If I was planning on using these bags to store things, that would be a big mistake as that smell would likely be in those things as well. The smell makes me choke. I could maybe use them in the garage, fresh air might help. But I will find new ones for household waste.
