I had a project where I was installing pine paneling in a turn of the century bathroom (where absolutely nothing is square or flat) so I needed a way to hold the edges of the paneling (pine) the boards can do something be convex) onto the drywall while the adhesive cures. These drywall screws worked great as the threads are thicker and sharper than normal drywall screws. The "bite" is so severe that I split a few boards while driving in (I found the best way to fix this was to drill some pilot holes). These screws are expensive in any case, but the quality is definitely worth the extra price.
