I use chef's knife edge compound and the volume/consistency of this product is pretty poor. I use a homemade buffalo leather belt. I use coarse paste on the suede side and fiber on the tanned side. (Usually Tormek and then Happich) and they're 1/6 the price per volume. This (t paste) "stressed" my lines 3 times (compared to the completion which took 1/2 year) and I left. I can get a mirror finish on both sides of the blade. It's expensive and inefficient.
