I bought an AC meter with trip and make transformer to install in my Texas power strip (see pictures). Remember that the force only reads the "real" part, not the "apparent" part, which is the sum. Don't be afraid to calculate the total power consumption. All you have to do is take the actual power reading from the meter and divide it by the power factor if the power factor is less than 1.00. Example: If it shows: 2.0 kW for power and power factor: 0.80, then actually 2000 W ÷ 0.80 = 2500 W is used.
