I'm not a professional mechanic at all and I tend to screw up the bike maintenance from time to time which I do anyway. I bent crap out of the cheaper pedal wrench that came with the bike tool kit so I needed a new one. The standard wrench that comes with the automotive style tool kit doesn't give you enough leverage when this thing really helps. Park makes good instruments, and the coated handle keeps your hand from hurting when you apply torque to loosen the pedals. I expect this wrench will serve my needs in the future as I keep getting bogged down in the learning process of home bike maintenance because you are on a tight budget.
