Great pro pedal wrench

It seems silly to need a pedal wrench but I ride fancy pedals and shoes and it allows me to convert bikes back to regular flat pedals or a different brand of bike in seconds. A little EP or molybdenum grease makes this a lot easier. and the usual key is really hard if not ready. Money well spent just to avoid disappointment like the last time I struggled with the pedal for 20 minutes.

Ideal for the home mechanic.

I'm not a professional mechanic at all and I tend to screw up the bike maintenance from time to time which I do anyway. I bent crap out of the cheaper pedal wrench that came with the bike tool kit so I needed a new one. The standard wrench that comes with the automotive style tool kit doesn't give you enough leverage when this thing really helps. Park makes good instruments, and the coated handle keeps your hand from hurting when you apply torque to loosen the pedals. I expect this wrench willโ€ฆ

Amazing tool at an amazing price

I have a Saris Solo Rack and using it with a hatchback usually means I have to install and remove pedals quite often. Doing this with an Allen wrench (even a T-handle) was tedious. I bought this tool in search of relief and boy did I get it. Removing the pedal takes about 5 seconds. That's easy. Due to the large span, little force is required to generate torque and the cone fits perfectly into the pedal axle. There can be no greater happiness with this child. Definitely one of the best bikeโ€ฆ

Savior! Makes pedal removal a breeze!

***Plus, after two years and a few dozen bikes, I'm still happy with this tool. I repair bikes that were donated to an orphanage in Mexico, so I've used them on a lot of different bikes. *** Should have bought this a long time ago! The extra length gives you the leverage you need to easily remove most pedals. The thin flats (approx. 2 mm) also fit narrow pedal nuts without any problems. You can also use it as a cone wrench on most axes. Remember that the left pedal has left-hand threads, so itโ€ฆ

Works great. Previously I tried removing the pedals with a regular wrench and it didn't move. I was worried I wouldn't have enough leverage with this homemade power tool, but it worked, and now I'm glad I have a smaller tool to carry in my checked luggage so I can get my bike back together . at the airport. PEDAL REMOVAL TIPS: The tool lever wasn't the biggest problem with removing the pedals, it's difficult to secure the pedals in the first place. I found that the best way is to find a curbโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Negative impression

After reading many negative reviews, I hesitated to buy the Park PW-5 pedal instrument. However, since it costs so much less than the professional PW-3 and PW-4, I decided to give it a try. . They came off effortlessly with the Park Tool PM-5. When trying to decide if this tool is right for you, here are a few questions to ask yourself: Are you using a solid steel crankset? Was the bike stored? Do you ride your bike hard and clean it wet? Is corrosion visible? Were the pedals installed 10 orโ€ฆ
