I keep a very heavy, clunky old Dell laptop with a cooling pad on this stand and it's great. It's easy to pull them both out, it doesn't try to pull them out, it stays in place even if I'm too lazy and grab them both together with one hand, but once inside they tighten and I move not in the stand and the stand doesn't move on the coffee table no matter how hard I pushed everyone around. It sits right on the edge of the desk so I can reach the computer easily, which means part of the computer hangs off the edge of the desk - it's never fallen over. I'm sloppy - when the laptop was on the table I would always put something on it, then I avoided doing what I had to do on the laptop because I didn't want to take everything off first. . Problem solved. Well the problem is gone, this attitude didn't cure my procrastination but it did eliminate the excuse. I am very happy.
