I keep a very heavy, clunky old Dell laptop with a cooling pad on this stand and it's great. It's easy to pull them both out, it doesn't try to pull them out, it stays in place even if I'm too lazy and grab them both together with one hand, but once inside they tighten and I move not in the stand and the stand doesn't move on the coffee table no matter how hard I pushed everyone around.
