I originally bought a much smaller dry erase calendar, but when writing on it, my hand kept erasing other dates and events. It was just too small. We have a large wall, so I ordered this 48x36 inch calendar to replace the little one.This calendar is absolutely fantastic! Yes, it’s large. But the squares are big enough that you won’t be erasing anything when you write something down. This also means that events can be written big enough to see without squinting or overlooking anything. The large squares make it easy to erase the dates while leaving your monthly commitments in place when it’s time to change the month. There’s plenty of room at the bottom to hold your magnetic markers/erasers and jot down events in the upcoming month.The marker tray is a nice feature, but we removed it since this is in a high traffic area, and close to a corner where we are likely to run into it. Side note: if you remove the tray but want to keep it with the calendar, it will slide onto the top of the frame. That’s how we store the tray. It just looks like a decorative cap to me.
