This is a safe whistle - not much to say. I bought them for kayaking and camping. The whistle works perfectly. The built in clip is on the loose side so I can't attach it to my life jacket with certainty that it will still be there in a few hours. The cable is ordinary, with connectors at the ends forming a loop. I would tie the ends in a knot rather than relying on connectors since a failure means the whistle will go out (you may not know this). But for the price and the fact that it was whistles and not other things that matter. this is a good product at a good price.
