I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 8 years, and the majority of my clientele are men with thick course hair. I also have a lot of bald fade clients. I used Wahl for years and felt like I was constantly sending my clippers in for maintenance or needing to replace the blades. I was dropping hundreds of dollars a year on clipper maintenance of replacing my clippers entirely. One day my Wahl set had just decided it wouldn’t turn on anymore. I was in need to a new pair of clippers and trimmers by my next shift, so in a pinch I checked ebay same day delivery for a decent pair.I figured for the price, and the reviews, they would be good enough to last me until I could send my Wahl clippers in for repair. These clippers well exceeded my expectations!I have had this set for roughly 5 months. The clippers in this set cut closer to the skin then my almost $200 pair of wahl clippers, the battery charged faster and holds a charge longer, I love that they have a display screen so I know how much charge is left, they are a nice weight (not too heavy but not too light either), they aren’t too loud (important when working on children or individuals with sensory problems), the guards are nice and secure, they also make it super easy to blend a fade.The trimmers are also great. I love the T shaped blade, they cut extremely close to the skin, battery life is also great on these, quiet, lightweight but still feel sturdy. These are so much better then my Wahl Mag Trimmer.The only dislikes I have is that I wish the chargers were not USB chargers, and had a wall plug in. Which is minor, I just ended up buying the charger ports for the wall separately. I also wish that this set came with a 6 and 8 guard, which again, minor, and if you are a professional odds are you have an abundance of guards.Also usually by now I’d be replacing my blades on my clippers and trimmers, but this set is still as sharp as the day I got them! Also I did not need to do any adjustments to the blades upon receiving them. I highly recommend this set whether you are a professional or just for personal use. They compare to the higher priced professional brands (if not better). I’ve already gotten one of the other stylists in my salon to purchase a set, and I plan to order another set to have at home.
