, I needed to build the foundation for my tar shed and when I looked at the situation the general advice was to use nails rather than screws. I'm not the best at going straight and flawless, especially the big ones like the regular 16 inch nails that the plan I was considering called for. I saw a similar nail gun (Rigid) on the Home Depot website and contacted Revain for a better price. When I did, it made the suggested products list and the reviews were pretty solid, especially for the price. My friend with the truck, who agreed to help me collect the wood and build the foundation, told me to return it when I showed him and hire a nailer. I said I believe it and I won't rent or buy a nail hammer so it's either that or the hammer! I've used this with my air compressor (vertical Craftsman model - 10 gallons I think) and it barely worked for the number of nails I've run. The regular 16d and 8d nails I used caused no problems. I did vertical plank nails and that wasn't a problem either. It was the perfect tool for the job and a great price. Would recommend to anyone doing small to medium jobs. If you were doing a large job it would be cumbersome to load each nail individually, but these types of nail loading and the tools to do so are MUCH more expensive. It was perfect for my needs and preformed flawlessly.
