piss off! suitable for water filtration and softening
I was very disappointed with this filter. It's been installed for over a month and it still doesn't eliminate the chemical taste in the water, it actually leaves a slightly soapy aftertaste. When I look through the water into a clear glass, I notice small threads or floating objects in the water. Maybe they are some kind of preservative in the filter for storage and transport. I ran a few gallons through the filter before hooking it up to my fridge to remove any sealant, but that might not have been enough. I haven't decided what to do next other than look at other filter manufacturers.
