Review on 💡 Aqueon Optibright LED Light Fixture by Rachel Williams

Aqueon Optibright LED light. I bought one of these for a 20 gallon tank. The main LED emits a bright, clean, warm white light that easily reaches the bottom of the tank and all corners, but is bright enough to disturb the fish. I haven't started growing live plants yet, so I can't talk about that now. Blue LED for "night" lighting is clearly not enough for my purposes; it is dim and barely illuminates the "Glo" decor. There is so little light that you can barely see your fish and you may find that there is no need to worry about it at all. I added an extra blue light to my aquarium that I pulled from a broken 10 gallon glo tank and it illuminates the 20 gallon tank better on its own. This lamp is fragile. Many LEDs stopped working within a week or only worked intermittently - I had to cycle them to turn most on. The touch buttons for backlight control are finicky and I rarely hit them the first time. I ended up buying another one locally and it still had the same issues so I don't blame the seller/supplier but the manufacturer. Overall I would advise others to bypass this. For half the price you get one of these waterproof LED tube lights with 16 color options and a remote control that will work much better and last longer.
