Your whistles deserved better. The idea of a rolling suitcase with a telescoping top handle and side carry handle is great. However, if you take a thin box and put unstable and fragile partitions inside, you get a completely unacceptable multi-tube case that can safely store $7,000-$10,000 worth of tools. Protec must be embarrassed. This product shows the most unashamed commitment to the "as cheap as we can make it" school I've ever seen. The outer "shell" looks like a hard case, but is so flexible that it offers little to no protection from deformation. A relatively small impact on a hard surface can cause serious damage to the contents. The handle is a piece of vinyl "attached" to the body with two tiny rivets. The real trouble is inside the case. You get two very soft and flexible baffles that you can place between your instruments. They are attached to the ends of the body with Velcro. I wouldn't rely on them staying tied at the ends. However, this is not the problem. You can move up or down so your instruments can interact with each other. The lid over the trumps comes with a set of padded moving dice to prevent misalignment that could result in the instrument hitting the lid. They are also attached with Velcro. This attachment didn't look solid and created another damage vector, albeit a minor one compared to the deflectors and shell. Let me be very clear on the vendor: this product is an apparent attempt to offer a product that falls short of the mark. customers will buy it. Gig bags can be sold as fragile as possible. They are not for protection. When you call something a "suitcase" it is expected to be strong and sturdy enough to protect the tools it contains from damage from normal handling, minor falls and bumps (and possibly being in the hold of an airplane). This does not normally apply to checked baggage. This is unreasonable. In all of these circumstances, your business puts tools at risk. Also, it's an insult to your customers to attach a thin vinyl tape to the side and call it a pen. Didn't it cost three dollars to make a real pen for this product? Wouldn't it be worth five bucks if the outer shell offered some protection? Could you make the internals strong enough to withstand even the occasional body movement? Since you decided against it, I have to tell people to avoid this product at all costs. It is unsuitable - at any cost.
