Well built but sounds like a harmonica!

We bought this kettle mainly because of its unusual appearance. It doesn't disappoint! A few pros and cons of this kettle: Pros: - We get loads of positive feedback from visitors who want to know where we got it from! - It has a nice, heavy, solid bottom that shouldn't warp. However, I will say that it does not whistle like a traditional kettle. Sounds like a harmonica that you can like or dislike. Cons: - You have to grab the lid's "tusks" to pour water. If you don't wait until the steam stops coming out of the lid, you can easily burn your fingers. The handle usually gets quite hot while the water is boiling, making pouring the water difficult. On the whole, we think it is. A good quality kettle that looks good enough to keep on the hob all the time. We're not big tea drinkers, but we think this teapot will serve us for many years.
