Where do I start talking about how great these pads were on my 2005 Trailblazer? My truck suffered severe brake fade in just 2 seconds of hard braking. I was fed up with it so I looked for better brakes and initially looked at Brembo which of course fitted well into my budget. Then I came across EBC. I almost halved my truck's braking distance. These pads have ZERO fading, the hotter they get the better they work. I also installed slotted and slotted EBC rotors. The only downside is the fact that they produce a lot of dust and will "damage" your rotors. I put the damage in quotes because I think it will 'consume' the rotors and not 'damage' them. I consider buckling, tearing, etc. as damage, which these pads don't do. These are metal composite linings with an extremely high coefficient of friction. If better and much safer stopping distance isn't worth swapping out rotors every 1 or 2 sets of pads, then stick with your crappy $10 Duralast pads that turn to cheese consistency after every hard stop. I prefer performance to economy.
