Review on GIANDEL 300Watt Inverter Outlets Smartphones by Dany Meadows

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's been 40 hours and everything is fine

I'll try to remember to update this review if anything changes. I'm skeptical of some of these cheap inverters but this one will come in very handy during the 30 day return period and decided to take a chance. I really wanted a bigger unit on Amazon but the cost was more than I wanted to play with. Out of the box, it's cheap hardware with vague instructions and nonsense like "soft start". The metal body is thinner than similar products from 10 years ago, but functional. It works in a caravan and a nice big chunky wire goes to the outlet so the factory cable isn't spliced at least for now which could void the warranty. Good luck finding an outlet rated for the wattage you need to deliver 300W at 12V. Also, the 12V power cable on the inverter doesn't look like it will handle the full 300W at 12V (30A) easily. It looks like it is 16Ga. After starting the laptop and the monitor, it almost does not heat up, and the fan does not work. I hooked up a 20" general purpose fan and it ran the same as it did on mains power with no hum or hum like a modified sine wave inverter normally does. with 40 hours of use it works perfectly.-m
