Review on LilyPadz® Reusable Silicone Nursing Regular by Tony Pearson

Pretty cool, but there might be some issues.

So I'm 12 days postpartum and I'm in a love-hate relationship with these nursing pads. I like that they are reusable. This reduces waste and costs. I like that they are easy to wear and easy to put on. I like that they don't move and are almost invisible under my clothes. They significantly reduce nipple stimulation with water in the shower. I don't like that they don't always prevent leakage. I applied it correctly according to the instructions and made sure that there were no air bubbles. They were sealed on all sides and you could even see where they seemed to flatten and seal my nipple. However, when I was released, a puddle of milk formed in the center of the pad, which eventually spilled out during feeding. I also hate that this could be the cause of my milk blisters. I had no problems with them until I started using them. After researching, I found that the cause of milk blisters could be pressure on the nipple causing a blockage. Now that pads work that way, it makes sense that they could have caused my blisters. To be honest, I produce a lot of milk at the beginning, which, in addition to the pressure of the pads, can also lead to blisters. So I took a break from using them. My blisters are starting to heal. I only have one left at the moment. I feel like I could easily use them after the first milk setting. That way my "fall" won't be as strong and my stock won't be as high. So I plan to try them again because I think they have a lot of potential.
