All four lights mounted side-by-side to illuminate an 8-foot workbench. They give off a lot of light and do what I expected them to do. I appreciate the thin profile. Installation turned out to be a little more difficult than expected, possibly because I worked upside down attaching the brackets to the underside of the cabinets above the bench. It would probably be easier to use a long mount, but I didn't have the 8ft that many would need. The included screws tend to get stuck in the holes, so extra effort is required to get them going. It can be helpful to drill out the plastic a bit. I didn't because the screw heads aren't very big and I didn't want to lose the bearing surface. Number 2 is the best, by the way. The connection is made via the supplied connectors, which means that the lights can be mounted without any gaps. They also offer cables that offer flexibility in placement. Two power cords allow for up to two separate circuits. When plugged in, the on/off switches only control individual lights while AC power is transferred to the rest. So any combination of on-off or even color is possible. Light quality wise they are good for many uses but personally I would look for something with a higher CRI if using them in the kitchen. For the price they are sold for they could do better.
