I make small copper and silver items and bought this torch with hose to use MAPP gas on large parts that require a wider and hotter flame than my small torch . The hose on this torch allows me to place the gas cartridge vertically on the floor, allowing me to use the MAPP gas flame on my workbench without having to support the weight of the cartridge. It works well. The gas is adjustable at the handle and regulator, but if the gas isn't open enough anywhere, the flame will burn too hot and the burner tip will turn cherry red very quickly, fairly limiting the actual flame adjustment range to the upper end. . However, the freedom I was given to use a wider, hotter flame was a game changer for me.
