I bought these because I broke a bone in my hand when I hit my bag of plain Everlasts. They fit fantastic and are very comfortable; The padding is better and they are less bulky. My favorite quality is that I get good wrist support even if they aren't as tight as possible; What's important to me when sparring becomes jiu-jitsu is that it's not that hard to shake off quickly. Ventilation is adequate - I use charcoal bags to dry after use. I learn from boxing/MMA gear that the old adage is true: if you pay for quality, you only cry once.
