I used a Harbor Freight hitch for many years until I bought a dump trailer and realized I would tow heavy loads. I wanted reassurance that I had a hitch that would get the job done. The heaviest I've had was with my dump trailer loaded with 5 tons of rock (extra trailer weight was 3500 pounds). The hitch can handle a lot more than is safe. If you're planning on towing a heavy trailer, do yourself a favor and invest in one of these hitches. The weak point always seems to be the cheapest part. I don't want a $10,000 trailer crashing because of a weak Chinese hitch. (Only my truck has a 6" lift height and the hitch is not in the lowest position)
