I attached these self-adhesive straps EXACTLY as shown. Then I put my HP Latitude laptop on the table and it fell on its back! No adjustments could solve the problem. But it gave me an idea and it was to balance and elevate the laptop by placing something (my 15ft tape measure) in the center back. It was the perfect height. And the risers were "up in the air," don't waste your money. I don't know how they did what they did in the ad but the ones I bought are completely useless.
