Review on 🌑️ PT1000-550BW Temperature Sensor Probe: High-Temp Resistance with Convenient 3D Printer Connection by Cho Screeton

Won't stand up to heat

I bought this sensor for my experiments on triggering a high temperature hot end. However, after several exposures to 485 Β°C, all internal parts of the sensor fell out of the housing, causing the Marlin to shut down. While the RTDs are rated for up to 600Β°C (Marlin can't climb that high on his desk, I tried and it gave a MAXTEMP of 500), the adhesive holding the sensor broke causing it to fall out. I'm not giving a star because I could put the sensor back into the case and crimp it to restore functionality. However, if the manufacturer specifies a maximum temperature for this type of construction, this must be specified on the product page.
