Pressure did not exceed 40psi. So I first thought and verified that my air compressor was defective and bought a new one. The pressure still didn't exceed 40 no matter how hard I tried. When I opened the air release valve on this 5 gallon can of ink after using the new 8 gallons at 155 psi for a long time to achieve over 40 psi pressure. the air came out with such tremendous force, shooting ice crystals. I'm a little slow, so it finally dawned on me to take a good look at the gauge. See image. The numbered background is warped so the arrow cannot move beyond 40psi. God knows I probably filled this thing to 150psi. well outside the danger zone, starting at 90psi for this model. I could have been seriously injured or killed. A. The factory installed pressure relief valve also never worked. Good.
