Doesn't work well with HDMI to VGA adapters

I connected it to my computer's HDMI port, connected USB power to the computer, and then connected two external monitors via the HDMI and VGA ports of the adapter connected. The monitors do not recognize any input and the laptop does not recognize any connected monitors. I think maybe I got a non-working device. I even tried different USB outputs on my computer just in case something went wrong, but nothing. I hope the seller can help me solve the problem or send a replacement. Many Thanks.
