These boots are a good solution for keeping my dog's paws clean. I use the smaller size for his hind legs, which works perfectly. I have ordered these boots more than half a dozen times. The reason for deducting 2 stars is that the red shoe dye rubs off my dog's white paws and he then spends the rest of the day trying to lick the dye/chemical off. I don't know if this is safe, but it's definitely a problem and also seems to have created a new excessive paw licking habit that we need to fight. A less important issue is that the material isn't super strong or durable. My dog's claws occasionally stick out when walking. I suppose if the rubber material was more durable they would be harder to put on the paws. Still, I haven't found a better alternative for everyday walks than these boots. My local pet store sells a more durable selection of shoes with a looser fit, but these shoes often come off my dog's paws if he runs too hard or digs in the ground too hard. That almost never happens, at least with Pawz, but I wish the color issue didn't exist with their red boots.
