You can pay three times as much for a regular OBD2 scanner with fancy buttons, screen and graphics, but if you're going to use it on a Volkswagen-Audi Group (VAG) vehicle, it's not as useful as this one . Conversely, it's nowhere near as good as VCDS, but it doesn't cost more than $400 either. For what you pay, this thing is killer. It can scan and clear all standard OBD2 codes (Engine, Emissions) on ANY vehicle, as well as scan and clear many VAG branded codes for Transmission, Brakes and more. My check engine light came on last week so I searched the market and ordered these. Within five minutes of the hack, I received my diagnostics and then cleared the code to see if it came back. It's not that far away, so I know my exact problem very well now. I can research how to fix it or I can take it to the store and see if they scam me. From what I can tell this thing has more than paid for itself in one use. All Chinese VAG scanners, like Ancel, look like rebranding and different cases around the same guts that Autophix sells cheaper.
