My Highlander has clocked up 73,000 miles so I figured it was time to change the belt. After all, the belt is pretty much the lifeline of your car, it's going to snap and you'll be stopped in a mile or two! The original was in good condition, no cracks. That's why I chose the original belt, I thought it would last a while, calm down. The change is not difficult, remove the right front wheel and rear fender. For the regulator you will need a 14mm wrench, it's a bit tricky but even a caveman can handle it.
