Not as effective. To be honest, they just add an extra tumble dryer that removes a little more wrinkles, as well as a little more from your clothes. Spiked plastic balls last forever, but I don't recommend them for everything. If you have expensive clothes, shirts etc, don't put them in the dryer with a lot of other clothes as they will deteriorate faster so all the rise is on your filter element you are cleaning, that's your clothes D. Vibration and Wear and tear. That was my business so I know what I'm talking about. I'm a mechanical engineer and this was my business so I know what I'm talking about. I'm a mechanical engineer and inventor. Expensive clothes that you want to be wrinkle-free, don't put too many things in the dryer. And use a couple of those conditioning sheets or even 3 and some plastic balls 1 work well. You get a lot more airflow if you only have a few things and I don't get beat up. Joanna and John
