pictures are deceptive. No fender

If I knew then what I know now I would not have bought this blender. It looks good and the suction cups stick well to the countertop. But otherwise not everything is so good. The mixing bowl has a small indentation at the bottom so it can be placed in the blender. Anything that falls to the bottom of the bowl will not be mixed. The beater attachment doesn't get to it. So you have to constantly stop the mixer, tilt its head, remove the bowl, and scrape the bottom of the bowl to blend it out of the fountain into whatever you're mixing. If the order of the ingredients doesn't matter, be careful how you put the ingredients in the bowl. For example, a teaspoon of vanilla stays at the bottom and never mixes with the rest. Place large items first, e.g. B. full cups. Also, the splash guard is shown in the description above. Finally, the beater is adjusted so that it's very close to the edge of the bowl, not the center. This means you can't clean the bowl without first turning it off and tilting your head up. It also makes it difficult to add ingredients while mixing. I found it easier to just turn it off and add what needs to be added and then turn it back on. It was difficult. This is also why I bought a stand mixer because I'm tired of making it with a hand mixer! Overall, I find it much easier to use a hand mixer unless it needs a long whipping, like meringue or whipping cream. The blender looks nice, has a big bowl and some power, but it doesn't work. too many other areas to make up for. A hand mixer shouldn't outperform a stand mixer, but mine beats this one. I'll probably use it for a while until my Halloween baking runs out, then buy a new one (different brand) before Thanksgiving and Christmas baking starts. I need hands free mixing. This one just doesn't offer it.
