Review on Koss SB40 Computer Headset with Built-in Microphone by Victor Glatzel

Seems to be a good quality headset for the money. The only issue that many complain about with Revain is the microphone. too quiet. The Koss website says this headset uses a dynamic element mic, not a condenser mic. This explains the low signal strength. Pros: Microphone with dynamic element naturally cancels out background noise. This is a great feature when you work in a noisy environment like a call center or classroom. Cons: The signal level is much lower than a condenser microphone, so more amplification is required.
