I charged both lights with no problem and they seem bright and fairly well made for the price. I was surprised how much the front light weighs. Seems sturdy and well made, but isn't light so it can bounce more when riding. Even with the front light mounted on the handlebars, it doesn't feel stiff at all. The mount's design fits a variety of adjustable handlebar sizes, but this design doesn't work well on my 1" handlebar, which is on the lower end of the range. I have 4 bikes and they are all 1 inch. I think 1 inch is the most common size, so any mount design needs to ensure it works well with the most common size. The mount has a fairly thin rubber pad/tape with grooves, but it doesn't hold the handlebars very well. It only has a small area of contact with the top and bottom of the handlebars (no contact with the entire surface of the handlebars) and it still rotates more than I really want to see. Haven't ridden a bike with it yet, but the light is pretty heavy for its size, so I bet it will break after bumps and need frequent readjustment. I've noticed that some of the other flashlights available, even the cheaper competitors, include a couple of extra little rubber "pads" that you can insert for more contact between the mount and the pole. But this product doesn't have them, even though it would only cost a penny to include them. So I'll try to improvise and find rubber bumpers to improve it. I specifically bought a lightweight kit with a tightly mounted clamp design because I saw some reviews that said the flexible rubber mounts for attachment don't pinch, stretch, break, etc. So this lightweight kit is still a bit disappointing, so only a 4 stars so far. I'll update my review after I ride to see how it works and/or if I can find rubber grommets to tighten the mount. If not, I can just return it and try another product. UPDATE: It hasn't failed after 30 minutes of driving on a flat surface. The front light has a very good brightness and after 30 minutes the battery level is only down 5% mostly using 3rd max. The mounting bracket is loose enough to easily adjust while riding, but too loose for my liking, so I bought a $4 roll of splicing elastic from a home store. This tape is about 4 times thicker than ordinary electrical tape, softer and more rubbery, and after wrapping it around the pole 3 times, the problem is solved. It's VERY hard right now. I think without the elastic it would come loose, especially on rough pavement or trails. The only problem is that now it no longer adjusts up/down while driving, only sideways with a built in hinge design so all you have to do is stop and loosen the screw to adjust it up/down.
