Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good balance of price/quality, recommend it.

Actually, about the state of affairs in games. Processor, if anything, AMD Ryzen 5 2600X. FPS did not measure everywhere. Resolution, unless otherwise noted, 4k. Settings, unless otherwise noted, as I call them, "ultra without nonsense" - that is, almost all the maximum, but the most voracious settings that have little effect on the picture, but significantly reduce performance, at just a high or (less commonly) average level . Usually these are all sorts of MCAA, dynamic light and the number of its sources, reflections, preliminary caching, etc. Where I haven’t measured, I’ll tell you from my feelings. RAGE 2. Either reduce to 2k on almost all ultras (flies), or with the same settings in 4k, but there is already a feeling of unnatural slight slowness. Although I went through half the game that way, and I was fine. Gears 5. Gorgeous optimization, everything flies. Not a single lag, frieze, etc. Call of Duty: WW II. Similar to Gears. Hellbound demo: same. control. 4k is already with a creak, and with RTX turned on in general clowning - FPS 15-17, EMNIP. That's why I played 2k. Agony UNRATED. Through minor concessions in the settings, we managed to achieve 45-50 FPS. Quake II RTX. A 1997 game in 4k (which it doesn't need) doesn't even get 20-25 FPS. In Full HD already 55. To sum up: 2k pulls everything, 4k - some. The card is good (it wouldn't make any noise), it was the most reasonable choice at the time of purchase, but now there is a SUPER version with a slight surcharge and a good performance boost, according to the declared performance characteristics. Keep in mind, she needs extra. powered by an eight-pin cable from the PSU.

Pros
  • Productive. In some places it can even be in 4k (I will write in the comments). 3 years warranty. A handy program to control the backlight and overclocking. Runs well: a 13% performance improvement was proposed. I started it purely out of interest to find out the potential.
Cons
  • ALWAYS making noise, just not shutting up. You can at least adjust in Thundermaster, it will always make a hum. It is weak without load, under load it is an airplane takeoff, and in acceleration mode (which lasts 20 minutes and which may be needed only once) - a spaceship. Noise under load does not bother me much: at least I understand the reason. But why not? RTX is absolutely stupid (I will write in the comments). But I took it not for its sake, but simply because at the time of purchase it was an up-to-date card at a price cheaper than a very old car: all older models are already similar in price to a car. Throttle noise. It appears not only in games and is inconsistent: in the same situation it may make noise, maybe not (most often it does not make noise, but still). It can make several types of sounds: from a strong squeak, similar to the sound of a modem from my childhood, to a small rattle. Grumbling: animated stickers in telegram, video in FB (no comments.). "Modem" strong squeak: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, many old games, I don't remember the names. Apparently, power consumption is not optimized, but this is just guesswork. I didn’t remember all the examples, because it didn’t really bother me: I mostly play jokers either in headphones or from speakers, but when shooting and the work of eight coolers (three main ones in the case, two additional ones, two in the video card and one in processor cooler) at full power, this is no longer particularly audible. During operation, it heats up so much that you have to turn on the case coolers at medium power in older games (although this surprises me) and at full power in new ones. If this is not done, the body temperature at the start of the novya is such that you can fry the eggs. And this is even in ancient games, including the nineties, which do not even eat a quarter of a giga of video memory. The case is large, spacious, all the components are new and correspond to the level, the PSU is 650 W, without dust, the thermal paste in the card is factory, fresh. Although it gives out no more than 65 degrees, so there is a small chance that it's not about her.
