Review on 📔 Pentalic Hardbound Sketch Book - 8.5x11 Inch Format by Karla Richter

This document has been an epic failure for me. (See last paragraph for updates.) Good things first: I like the size of the magazine, the sturdy cover, the thickness, and the number of pages. The color of the paper is nice too and the white Posca pen is great for correcting mistakes. The masking tape is easy to use. Disadvantages: Paper absorbs a lot of water. It absorbs water and watercolor pigments like a sponge, resulting in disappointments, streaks, poor blending and extremely dull colors on drying. Be prepared to work very quickly and get frustrated with the lack of momentum. The surface of the paper has the most textured cold print I have ever experienced, making pen and ink very difficult to use. Definitely NOT recommended for watercolors. Edited: During my original review, I didn't test paper with Derwent Inktense Pencils. . This was a mistake on my part as this article is awesome with them. Paper thirst is a big plus when working with Inktense. The effect is deep, bright and grainy. If you use Inktense, try this magazine.
