Excellent quality

I've been using these albums (along with the Utrecht bound albums) for 10-15 years now. I switched to this one when Pentalic stopped making 80 lb books. paper (my favorite). I work with a pencil and sometimes with a pen. Usually with a pencil though. The quality of Pentalic paper is very good. It survives my shading and some (but not repeated) erasing with a hard eraser. The paper holds very well if you lighten the tone with the necessary eraser. The paper has a great tooth for shading. Also…

Do not recommend: Updated

This document has been an epic failure for me. (See last paragraph for updates.) Good things first: I like the size of the magazine, the sturdy cover, the thickness, and the number of pages. The color of the paper is nice too and the white Posca pen is great for correcting mistakes. The masking tape is easy to use. Disadvantages: Paper absorbs a lot of water. It absorbs water and watercolor pigments like a sponge, resulting in disappointments, streaks, poor blending and extremely dull colors on

Perfect size, paper and hard cover

Excellent! Ever since I was a teenager, I've been going through album after album trying to find what "fits" me. Most were too large or the paper was too rough, too dirty, or spiral bound, which is a nightmare when you're carrying a book in your backpack. I discovered it in my sophomore year and fell in love instantly. 8 x 5.5 inches is a good size for my sketches, and the paper works great for a typical HB neck.
