I'm having trouble getting them to work with waterproof tapes. I ordered replacement strip lights from Supernight and followed the directions for the connections and it worked like a champ. I think other brands of light tape have an adhesive layer that is difficult to penetrate. I tried taking it off other brands but couldn't get good connections. With the Supernight LED strip I removed the adhesive (not just the adhesive backing) and the connectors were easy to assemble. The Supernight LED strip adhesive isn't as strong as others, but I apply it to a clean surface so it appears to stick. I used to use 3M double sided tape to attach the Superlights. Superlights also have 300 LEDs per 16 feet. I recommend Superlight LED strips and connectors, it's a combination that suits me.
