Review on Razer Stealth Ultrabook Gaming Laptop Computers & Tablets by Jaye Cleveland

Revainrating 4 out of 5

As expected, reasonably priced

I have several 15.6 inch laptops that are left at home as they are too heavy and big to be 'portable'. I like the 13-14 inch form factor. Disclaimer: I also have a 13" MacPro and a 14" SurfaceBook Pro. Also, a disclaimer: I have an older 13-inch Stealth that I never use because I hate the 1080P screen on it. I unpacked and set up this computer. Aside from the requirement to have a Microsoft account (this can be bypassed later after installation), the computer does not contain any malware other than Microsoft crap. Easy to remove. Being used to high resolution screens I like the screens on this one. Strangely for a 'laptop', the two fans in the front are right where your feet would go if you were using it as a laptop. I hate to say I don't really have high hopes for gaming or battery life, however given that it has a dGPU I expect it will run at least a few games given the weak response time of the dGPU and 4K screen it's doubtful what types of games and how well they will play on this thing. It was Black Friday and I was looking for a new toy.

Pros
  • 4K Slim Bezel Touch Display: Visually stunning 4K touch display with 100% sRGB color gamut for content creation, entertainment and productivity.
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
